Abstrakt:

The paper is devoted to the theory of human capital. It is an attempt to systematize knowledge about the importance of human attributes for economy. To do it, the author tries to answer four questions. What does it mean that human attributes are productive factors? What does it mean that human attributes have capital nature? What relationship is between labour and human attributes? What is human capital? Using the theory of the Austrian School of Economics he shows that not all human attributes are economic goods. He also points that human attributes which are economic goods can be also capital goods but not a capital. These attributes are a special kind of capital goods because they are connected with an extroversive labour. He also shows that people do not sell their attributes in the labour market. They sell only a unit of unmaterial personal service which consists of labour and human attributes. Only this unit is subject to appraisal. The author also presents definition of human capital.(original abstract)
