Abstrakt:

Aim: The aim of this study is to analyse the process of prototyping and user testing in product and service design before their launch on the market. Methodology: The study adopts a descriptive approach, outlining the stages of the prototyping testing process, including goal definition, participant recruitment, test execution, and data analysis. Different testing methods, such as A/B tests, usability studies and iterative testing are also discussed, highlighting their impact on design decision-making. Results: User prototype testing revealed key usability issues and areas for improvement. Early feedback enabled design adjustments, resulting in higher user satisfaction and better alignment with user needs. Implications and recommendations: The study demonstrates that early user feedback through prototyping allows for the identification of usability issues, improves design accuracy, and increases user satisfaction. Prototypes of varying fidelity are effective in gathering valuable insights at different stages of development. Cost optimisation should be considered in relation to the goals of the analysis. Originality/value: The study provides practical insights into prototyping and user testing strategies, offering valuable information for designers and researchers that can help optimise product development processes.
