Abstrakt:

The principle aim of this article is to indicate the potential threats for the development of the bank sector in Poland in the context of present economic crisis. At the very beginning, the theoretical aspects connected with globalization of markets as well as the occurrence of "the effect of contagion" are introduced. The key issues connected with the present crisis are also shown and discussed. In the summary of the article, the potential threats for the bank sector in Poland in the context of present economic crisis are described.(original abstract)
