Abstrakt:

The problem raised in this paper is to find characteristic rules and features of managing the factors of production in enterprises, functioning in different economic systems. The economic system, that specifies property rights and decisive abilities of economic actors, determines the effectiveness in resources used. In this paper the author tries to answer the question how far economic and social determinants of managing the factors of production influence the motivation and profits in entrepreneurships in developing market economy. The analysis shows that the economic system seriously determines the way of using resources in companies. The typical willingness to follow the economic directives in centrally managed economy is replaced by maximizing profits in market economy. As a result the tendency to minimize the economic surplus in enterprises disappears and economic effectiveness is observed instead. Increase of economic prosperity is possible only in such an economic system where economic effectiveness is very important for enterprises. Attempts to avoid economic effectiveness of resources using induce consequences that were and still are experienced by countries with centrally managed economy. (original abstract)
